These MAM-A Silver Plus Gold DVD-Rs come packaged in a five disc cardboard sleeve package, with each disc packaged in its own paper sleeve. MAM-A Silver Plus Gold archive-grade DVD-Rs offer the benefits of gold discs, with the performance of silver. These discs feature two reflective layers, one of pure silver plus a second 24 kt gold reflective layer. The pure silver layer provides high reflectivity and great drive compatibility, and the gold layer provides protection against environmental corrosion. This combination extends longevity to 83 years, compared to standard silver discs that oxidize.

Diamond Guard - Recording Side Hard Coat Scratch Protection

To protect against scratches, finger prints, and everyday handling, we apply a special protective coating called the Diamond Guard to the recording side of the disc. The Diamond Guard is the hardest scratch resistant material in the industry, with a hardness rating of 5H.
